Tell Your Stories

So you've got public transit horror stories? Don't we all.

We're gathering tales of riders in British Columbia who've been left stranded, made late for class, watched an over-crowded bus blow past their stop. Or maybe you don't even bother with transit because the system can't get you from point A to point B.

Send your stories to help us speak to our province's decision-makers. We'll also share a few of the gems in our future mailings and here on the We Ride website.

Don't be shy. Your first-hand accounts of transit frustrations will make those decision-makers listen. They need to know what it's really like. When's the last time you saw the Premier, your Mayor or your Member of Parliament take the bus!

As Riders, we need to speak up and demand better — demand change.

Because I live in Surrey, and take journalism courses in Richmond, the lack of Richmond-Surrey buses requires me to take a crazy route to school.

First i take a bus to the King George Skytrain station and ride into Vancouver. I then ride the 99 B-line to Granville and transfer to the 98 B-line out to Richmond. It takes 1.5 hours to get to school and 2.5 hours to get home every day!
